Pretty decent list of winners this year, as it looks like. I have not read a lot this year, but I'll certainly look out for some of this stuff.

A memory called Empire - sounds cool.

This is how you loose the time war - has been recommended to me more times than I can count. I'll get it out now.

Poppy war books - sound amazing, bought them right away

LaGuardia - looks somewhat fun, has anybody here read it?

Apparently now that the puppies are no longer around, GRRM is the new big Hugo bad? Idk, I think he is a decent writer and he really is into Hugo history. But then I only listened to part of his presentation and I have not read up on the recent discourse. I'd rather just enjoy the winners.

LaGuardia is really good, although it's more slice-of-life and less dramatic than you'd expect from the publicity and blurb.

ETA: Forgot to mention that it's set in the same universe as Okorafor's prose novel Lagoon, if you've read it (it isn't necessary to have read it to understand the graphic novel).
