Snagged from shadowcat
Last time I traveled abroad: August 2019 to Stockholm
Last time I slept in a hotel: 2019 in Lienz for a small conference
Last time I flew in an airplane: Also August 2019 to Sweden
Last time I took a train: January 2020 to go to Vienna for my aunt's funeral
Last time I took public transit: Friday March 6th, the next week I became to scared to send my kid to kindergarten and the next week everything shut down anyway.
Last time I had a houseguest: summer 2019 a friend from Vienna stayed on my couch
Last time I got my hair cut: no idea, I never cut it
Last time I went to the movies: I went to see Die Dohnal (great movie) but when? I think in late february
Last time I went to the theatre: March 7th a music play for kids at the local theatre
Last time I went to a concert: same
Last time I went to an art museum: that is a while. I think the Belvedere in Vienna 2017
.
Last time I sat down in a restaurant: March 9th, for lunch with a friend. Last day before I personally went on lockdown
Last time I went to a party: February 29th, a birthday thing
Last time I played a board game with more than two people: mid february. Time Stories, was very good.
In other news, we are almost two weeks on lockdown now. Numbers are still rising madly, but no longer exponentially. Numbers in the hospitals are increasing. People are losing jobs and it is all quite dire. I'm glad I have my shitty limited contract at the university and very happy my husband is in IT. We will be fine and I hope we can help out friends who will be hit harder. Austria will have to open shop again eventually.I am waiting for them to roll out a public education program and supplies. People have to learn how to properly use protective gear. This has to become normal. And we need to ramp up testing. A lot.
I wonder how the kids will remember this. My son loves to stay at home so much. But he misses his friends.
