Lost my voice completely and am staying home from work today, which is one hand ouch, but on the other handit isthe first day in a very long time, where I can just stay in bed and write to my LJ, or in this case DW, because I should really stick with the move.
If anyone is in need of codes, please let me know.
I also finally havethe time to read the Mountains of Madness Campaign I bought a while ago and plan to run next year. It is so neat and shiny and I can't wait to talk again and run it. Has anyone on here played the american version?
Also watched a lot of tv but the only thing I really want to talk about is homeland, it was easily the best new thing this year.
I loved every little bit of it, it had me on the edge of my seat almost every episode and considering that Terrorist/CIA themed things are usually boring me numb that is an ahievement. The actors did a fantastic job and I loved how they did the whole brainwash thing od Brody. I've never seen it done so well.
Even if it was a bit weird that only his daughter caught on to the fact that he was behaving completly off, I liked how they portrayed him gathering his resolve. Killing people does need a lot of abstract ideas to justify and i loved that ultimately Brody does not draw that from Islam but from what was ingrained to him longer ago. American patriotism, in it's own way as dehumanizing and abstract as Abu Nazir's ideas.
I wonderif his daughter is going to approach Carrie next season. She has caught on way too much to let it lie now.
Good, good show.

Date: 2011-12-21 10:00 am (UTC)I'm actually wondering if they're going to have Carrie back as a protagonist next season. As much as I loved her as a character, I have this idea that the show might need to shift focus a little bit, let someone else do the actual hunting and give Carrie more of a mentor role... or maybe I just think she's earned some rest and blissful oblivion after that finale. Damn, that hurt.

Date: 2011-12-21 10:34 am (UTC)I'm not sure, where they will go with Carrie in season two. I think the focus might shift away from the CIA a little, with Saul being the protagonist on that side.
With Brody now running for office, since his plans did blow up (or rather not blow up) I think there is going to be more focus on politics.
And Carrie, I don't know. I think the daughter and Saul are going to bring her back in at some point.
