I just managed to get my hands on this movie yesterday. I had heard about it from
felisblanco several months ago and had been looking for the movie ever since. It's an icelandic movie (a romantic comedy of all things) about roleplaying gamers. Heh!
It's an absolute gem, if you manage to find it somewhere watch it. If you are a RPG gamer like me, more so! The essential plot is that Hildur, who is a bit of a bimbo suddenly has a dire need for money. So she starts to job at Astropia, the local nerd store. The geeks, who work and live there, first scorn her, since she knows not a thing about roleplaying games and reads romance novels. But then they let her participate in one of their rounds and she grows quite fond of them.
Whenever the movie switches to the RPG, the actors are all dressed up in LARP-gear, but they are still talking, whatever their player is saying at the moment. It's so much fun (also if you don't play RPGs, I was told). The nerds are written so adorably geeky. I especially loved the geek girl, who was the only girl in the rounds, before Hildur came. What's also nice is, that all cliches are overthrown pretty quickly. No one is just a stereotype in the end.

I saw the movie with cute boyfriend and a friend of us, who has lived in iceland for a year. He was so sweet to watch, because he misses iceland terribly and he had been to some of the films locations. He was all "Oh yes, I was on that beach" and "omg, I think I know that street." , I hope, we didn't give him a to severe case of iceland homesickness.
