I'm glad you thought that I managed to keep it interesting throughout, I love detailed fighting scenes in books and fic, so I wanted to give it a try.
I figured that part of what the makes the slayers so dangerous is that you can't guess their strength by their looks, so tried to describe how hard this makes it to battle them. And how interesting it makes them for someone who enjoys few things more than a good brawl, like Spike.
