Autria going down the drain
Mar. 13th, 2018 02:40 pmIt is all so weird right now, it feels like the whole country is just going insane, with violently shutting their eyes. This week there are lots and lots of memorials because 80 years ago Austria was taken over by the nazis.
You see the pictures of people cheering for Hitler at the Heldenplatz in Vienna and how overenight the Jews started to dissapear and everybody uses that empty phrase "never again", when we have nazis sitting in the ministry of internal affairs. A police force (from the street crime department), which is lead by a nazi politician, just stormed another police division, that is responsible for protecting our constitution. They pretended that the search was about corruption, but they took all their data on right wing extremists (their own guys mostly) and likely also on left wing activists.
The whole thing is just insane. It looks like the nazi minister is now pitting parts of the police against each other. This is not normal. This is democracy going away. And all the while they sit in golden halls and solemly proclaim "never again".
