'm mostly excited because Amy Acker is going to be a recurring character! That makes me squeee! Oh yes, she's an amazing actress. I can't wait to see what her character will be like.
I'm very very happy that Brian is writing Angel. He seems very passionate about it and he's a great writer. With Brian I get the impression that he is a big time fanboy himself, with love and deep understanding for every character he writes.
I'm afraid Buffy season 8 has disappointed me... Same here. I like it, but (especially since AtF is coming out and I squee with every issue) it seems a very poor substitute for the show. I think Joss said somewhere that he was the biggest Buffy fanboy ever and I believe that was true when he said it but now he has moved on to other amazing projects and the comic return to Buffy was a bit of an intermezzo. (Of course I don't know the man, so this is just what my fangirl brain is making from the not so greatness of S8) I hope that the comics will live on though when Joss' mind is set on Dollhouse. Maybe he can find another writer to hand them over to. I'm sure Jane Espeson could make S8 shine in new brilliance if she got the chance.
I'm pretty hopeful, the two of us are going to have tons of fun and squee with Dollhouse :)
